Kasman played a recital in San Jose (Costa Rica) dedicated to Rachmaninov.
The Seattle Chamber Players also took part in this recital. The recital
was organized by Rachmaninov's great-grand daughter Natalie Wanamaker.

Yakov Kasman took part in the "Festival Mikhail Voskresensky and
his students--stars" dedicated to the 70th birthday of his teacher Michail
Voskresensky. Yakov performed Rachmaninov's 1st Sonata at Rachmaninov

Kasman's student Maeve Brophy was accepted to New England Conservatory
with a great scholarship offer. She will study there with Russell Sherman.
Maeve was Yakov's student for 5 years. (3 years at University of Alabama/Birmingham).

JETS CROSS-COUNTRY TO DELIVER AMAZING PERFORMANCE OF RACHMANINOFF'S
PIANO CONCERTO NO. 3.
Russian pianist
Yakov Kasman, who made his American debut winning the silver medal
in the Tenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 1997,
made his Portland debut Oct. 4 as the pinch hitter on Rachmaninoff's
Piano Concerto No. 3 with Music Director Carlos Kalmar and the Oregon
Symphony. Kasman, who arrived from Birmingham, Ala. one hour before
showtime, amazed the audience and critics with a stunning performance
of the difficult concerto that had the crowd on its feet. [more

Scriabin Piano Concerto with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra conducted
by guest conductor Maestro JoAnn Falletta (below), conductor of
the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
